A carbon tool steel bandsaw blade is made from high carbon steel. It can cut all types of woods, especially ideal for soft woods i.e. pine, polar, fir and spruce. It is also suitable for cutting plastics, aluminum, metals, and mild steel. For best results, cut mild steel at  speeds under 200 fpm (feet per minute), with liquid coolant running along the back of the blade. There may be a number of other bandsaws or models that use the same blade lengths as the ones listed: 62 inch ( 5 ft. 2 inch, 5' 2" ) bandsaw blades suit the following models: Skil® 3104; Sears Craftsman® 103-24556, 2442; 9HT2442N; Central Machinery® D0686-4BMF, 01629-ICEA; Mark® 1; Rexon® BS-12; Alltrade® 1996BBR; Powerline® DBS-12; Jet® DBS-12; Black & Decker® (some models); Grizzly® G8976 12"; Walker-Turner® 10";  If in doubt, to determine bandsaw blade length: 1 - Check the owner's manual of your bandsaw machine for specifications - not only the length, but also the range of the width and thickness.2 - If the owner's manual is not available, refer to previous invoices.3 - Cut your old bandsaw blade so that it lies flat on a level surface, and measure its length. This method will provide the most possible accurate length.4 - Upon requested, Magnate makes blades of any length and types to fit your brand and model.
