Easy-to-reach controls make blade tensioning and other adjustments simple.

An LED worklight improves visibility.
Compact Benchtop Design for Easy Transport
Perfect for moving from site to site or between different shop locations, the JWBS-10OS has an easy-to-transport design. Measuring 17.7 x 14.6 x 34.6 inches (WxLxH) overall, with a table that measures approximately 19 x 13 inches (WxL) with the extension and 13 x 13 inches (WxL) without, this band saw is truly portable, so you can place it exactly where you need it.

Steel Stand and Base for Stability
When it's time to move from the benchtop to the floor, the rigid steel stand makes for a smooth transition and a steady place to work. There's also a reinforced steel base that can be bolted to the stand or work bench for an extra measure of strength and stability.

Additionally, when working with heavy loads, you'll appreciate the upper and lower ball bearing blade guides, which provide even more reinforcement and stability.

Induction Motor Balanced by Poly-V Drive System
The JWBS-10OS owes its robust performance to a heavy duty 1/2 HP induction motor that handles a variety of cutting applications. Additionally, a poly-v drive system maximizes power transfer from motor to blade, reducing vibrations and allowing for consistent performance.

Welded Frame, Extension Wings, and Oversized Knobs for Ease of Use
Boasting a durable design and straightforward operation, the JWBS-10OS meets even large jobs head on without sacrificing ease of use. First, a one-piece welded frame design reduces machine vibration and flux, while retractable extension wings provide additional work piece support when you need it.

Oversized-ergonomic knobs are simple to use and provide maximum control. Finally, a quick release tension makes changing and re-tensioning the blade fast, easy, and consistent so you can quickly get back to work.

LED Light and Extruded Fence for Accuracy
To help ensure precision, the JWBS-10OS offers a flexible LED light to provide visibility without blocking your line of sight, an aluminum extruded fence that ensures smooth sliding action and straight, precise cuts, and rack and pinion blade guide adjustment with an integrated locking knob for height control.

Flexibility and Safety Features
To provide an even greater level of flexibility, the table-tilting trunnion allows working angles from zero to 45 degrees, and a magnifying cursor enlarges measurement scale for precise fence location, thereby minimizing the potential for error. Finally, a blade site window helps guard your safety by making sure you can always see the exact position of the blade while you work.

The JWBS-10OS is backed by a three-year warranty.

About JET: A History of Sharing New, Feature-Rich Products
Opened in 1958 after the founder of the company, Leslie P. Timber Wolf Bandsaw Blade 3/4" x 105", 3 TPI Review

Timber Wolf Bandsaw Blade 3/4" x 105", 3 TPI Feature

  • High silicon, low carbide steel
  • Ideal for resawing thick stock
  • Runs cooler and lasts longer
  • Runs under low tension which requires less horsepower
  • Thin kerf
Timber Wolf makes the worlds only thin-kerf, low tension, silicon steel bandsaw blades that will outlast your old carbon steel blades by a mile! Your bandsaw will cut better and faster, with less wear on bearings, shafts and tires. Tooth angles and gullet symmetries, combined with a unique set pattern, create a blade that is everything a wood-cutting blade was meant to be. Blade has over 60 of the speed capabilities of a hook blade while giving you the great finish of a skip. The round design of the gullet eliminates any work hardening zones. Couple that with the special 6.5 degrees rake, 5-tooth set pattern, and .025" thick thin-kerf blade and you have an awesome bandsaw blade!

Grizzly G9742 5" x 6" Metal-Cutting Bandsaw w/ Swivel Head

Grizzly G9742 5" x 6" Metal-Cutting Bandsaw w/ Swivel Head Review

Grizzly G9742 5" x 6" Metal-Cutting Bandsaw w/ Swivel Head Feature

  • Blade size: 64-1/2" x 1/2"
  • Max. capacity circular @ 0 degrees: 5"
  • Max. capacity rectangular .@ 0 degrees: 5" x 6"
  • Motor: 1/2 HP, 110V/220V, 60Hz, 1720 RPM
  • Shipping weight approx.: 176 lbs.
This is one of the best saws on the market for the small or large shop. It features a 5" round and 5" x 6" rectangular capacity. But what really sets this apart from other saws of this size is the head swivel giving a maximum angle of cut of 60deg! Remember how much trouble it is to change a vise backing jaw only to get a 45deg cut? Not with this guy. The easy-to-adjust head has stops in all the right places. And because the vise backing jaw is rigid on this saw it is taller, giving it the ability to support the workpiece better. And of course, the machine comes with all the features you'd expect from Grizzly hydraulic down feed control, easy access wheels for quick blade changes and the right blade speeds to do the job.
